3. CO2 Injection:

• Consider supplementing with CO2 to enhance growth and coloration. While Rotala can grow without CO2, providing it can lead to more robust development.

4. Water Parameters:

• Maintain a temperature range of 72-78°F (22-26°C).
• pH should be slightly acidic to neutral, ideally between 6.0-7.5.
• Keep water hardness in the range of 3-8 dGH.

5. Fertilization:

• Use a comprehensive liquid fertilizer to provide essential nutrients regularly. Rotala benefits from a balanced mix of micronutrients and macronutrients.

6. Pruning:

• Regularly trim the tops of the stems to encourage bushier growth and prevent the plant from becoming too leggy. This helps maintain an attractive appearance.

7. Propagation:

• Rotala is easy to propagate through stem cuttings. Simply cut a healthy stem and replant it in the substrate. New shoots will develop from the cuttings.

8. Water Flow:

• Ensure good water circulation in the aquarium to prevent algae growth on the leaves. Moderate water flow helps distribute nutrients efficiently.

9. Pests and Diseases:

• Keep an eye out for signs of pests or diseases. Quarantine new plants before introducing them to prevent potential issues.

10. Tank Placement:

• Place Rotala in the background or midground of your aquarium to create a lush and colorful backdrop. It complements various aquascape styles.
