Archer Fish

Tank Setup:

• Provide a tank with a minimum capacity of 30 gallons for a small group of Archer Fish.
• Ensure a secure lid, as Archer Fish are skilled jumpers.

Water Parameters:

• Maintain a temperature between 75-82°F (24-28°C).
• Keep the pH level around 6.5 to 7.5.
• Ensure water hardness between 5-15 dGH.

Filtration:

• Use a good filtration system to maintain water quality, as Archer Fish are sensitive to deteriorating water conditions.

Tank Decor:

• Mimic their natural habitat with branches, floating plants, and open swimming spaces.
• Archer Fish prefer a setup that allows them to shoot water at prey from above.

Diet:

• Feed a varied diet that includes live or frozen insects, small crustaceans, and high-quality pellets or flakes.
• Provide occasional treats like crickets or small fish.

Social Behavior:

• Archer Fish are generally peaceful but may exhibit aggression during feeding.
• Keep them in a group if the tank is spacious enough.

Compatibility:

• Choose tank mates carefully, as Archer Fish may prey on smaller fish.
